Questions about using travel vouchers
Your voucher has the same value as your original ticket (booking fees and credit card surcharges excluded). However, under certain conditions, the value of the voucher increases up to 15% when you use your voucher online. You can use your travel voucher as a payment method to purchase a new ticket or extra option at a later time, without having to pay a booking fee. Simply enter your voucher number during payment. Your voucher number consists of 13 numbers and starts with 074. It’s included in the e-mail you received, and can also be found in your profile.
You can use an unlimited number of vouchers as a payment method during online checkout to purchase a new ticket and/or extra options. You will not have to pay a booking fee.
For detailed information and conditions, please review the refund policies on the latest flight information page. A different policy is in place for KLM Package Deals.
If the price of your ticket is higher than the value of your voucher, your voucher is worth up to 15% more if you use it between 16 June and 31 October 2020 and your new outbound flight is before 15 June 2021. Please note that this only applies when using your voucher online. If you pay with your voucher via our KLM Customer Contact Centre or at the airport, this extra value is not applicable.
If the price of your ticket is less than the value of your voucher, you will receive a new voucher with the residual value. This new voucher will not have an increase in value and is refundable after 12 months.
For detailed information and conditions, please review the refund policies on the latest flight information page.
Let’s say that your original ticket price was EUR 500. Your travel voucher will then have the same value. However, under certain conditions, the value of the voucher increases up to 15%. That means that your travel voucher can have a maximum value of EUR 575. Please note that this only applies when using your voucher online. If you pay with your voucher via our KLM Customer Contact Centre or at the airport, this extra value is not applicable.
